Re-imaging the Fun palace

The original fun palace was designed in 1964 in East London post WWII, by Cedric Price. The patron Joan Littlewood a theater director, Notion it'd be beneficial to have a "laboratory of fun" as well as "a university for the streets" for the future of London. Thus, the Fun palace was designed although never built it remains a precedent for future projects around the world. Framework and cranes were intended to suspend the separate spaces at different heights. The structure was also intended to be flexible and added to after completion.
Analyzing the drawings of the original fun palace, I aimed to find out more about the flexibility in the design of this project Exploring the adaptive and altering concept of the project. By giving it a literal sense of twisting, condensing, and bending the original structure using a digital model I was able to explore possible future ideas by observing the past. The original project proposes these ideas of suspending and moving spaces which allow for the structure to be constantly changing.
