This project provides a much-needed assisted living facility for individuals with mental illnesses in the Bridgeport neighborhood of Chicago. The design of the building, with its adaptable units and recreational space, prioritizes the needs and comfort of its residents. The inclusion of supportive features such as etched windows for privacy and natural light creates a welcoming and nurturing environment. This project not only benefits the residents but also helps to break down the stigma surrounding mental illness and promotes a more inclusive and understanding community.
